Other Important Information
Many airlines offer reduced airfare to Hawaii. The web may be the best source for securing economical airfare to Honolulu. Interisland flights (from Honolulu to Maui, for example) are approximately $100. The city of Honolulu offers public bus transportation and plenty of taxi cabs.
Transportation options from Honolulu Airport to Sheraton Waikiki Hotel (approximately 30 minutes):
Ilima Shuttle: (808-836-1881). $10 person, cash only, exact change
The Cab: (808-422-2222). Cost: approx. $35 cash (Credit Cards accepted by some drivers)
Driving Directions by Rental Car:
Take the H1 Freeway East and get off at the Punahou Exit (23). Turn right on to Punahou Street and at the first traffic light make a right on to Beretania Street. Cut over to the farthest left lane and at the first traffic light make a left on to Kalakaua Avenue. Drive straight down Kalakaua Avenue and pass Louis Vuitton on the left and Planet Hollywood on the right. After passing the two stores make a right on to Royal Hawaiian Blvd. Drive over the 2 speed bumps and you will see our hotel. Valet parking will be to the left at the Front Entrance and the self parking garage is located to the right adjacent to the hotel.
